My first series I actually read fic for was Hikaru no Go. ...Though I think I may have been somewhat interested in Sasuke/Naruto before that...possibly without entirely realizing the nature of my interest. ^_^;;
Wow, I'd figure just with the number of fics out there there would be a somewhat decent number of good ones. Hahahah, for some reason your description of the lame Roy/Ed amuses me greatly. Perhaps because it would pretty much describe a lot of the badfic from any yaoi pairing. It's...rather bizarre that such random things could so well describe them.
I was a little into Roy/Hughes (yeah, you probably see even less of them together than Roy and Ed. ...Maybe it was the implication they used to be around each other more? ^_^;) but all the angst in the fic drove me away pretty fast (though I guess in that case at least the angst makes sense. Roy/Ed angst is...). I've ended up reading lots of Elricest just cause of all the fluff, even though in the actual series I don't feel anything sexual between them at all, hehehe. If I'm going to be arbitrary like that, though, it's weird I don't like Roy/Ed, considering I found Roy one of the more interesting characters.
Haha, if I said i (...gaah, that's it, my shift key is having trouble and i've corrected capitalization for the last time.) was reading horoscopes he'd probably KNOW I was doing something bad. My current prepared lie is that i'm reading fic written by FriendJenny, that way even if he gets a good look it's not obvious i'm lying, but it seems like my motive for reading is just cause i'm her friend, heheh.
