Ah, tired~
We had another match today, and it was against a team that we (collectively) lost miserably to last year. This year, it was much closer, and we won a few of the matches. Although my partner and I didn't win our match, it was very close -- 4-6, 6-7 (tiebreak was 5-7). I was a bit disappointed that we just missed out on taking them to a tiebreak for the third set, but I was pleased with the way we played overall! I had some amazing serves, as did my partner, and between the lot of us, there were some fantastic rallies.
I was also very glad to see that the girls we played were honest. (When we were in the tiebreaker, I accidentally called out the wrong score {which would have benefited the other team} but the girls corrected me; on the sidelines, I heard a couple of their teammates say 'you shouldn't have said that!') This team often is chock full of, well, cheaters. We had to get line judges on two courts anyway (a couple of other matches could have used judges too), because the girls would continually call out balls that were good.
We've got another game tomorrow, and a tournament on Friday! I think the coach will be keeping my partner and I together, too. Whatever we're doing is working. :3
