The focus is actually going to be more romantic than sports-oriented, if I ever manage to get to it. (Try not to groan; it's more boys love.)

Oddly enough, I can't remember what the last match I mentioned was, so instead I'll pick up from Friday afternoon, where we played somewhat of a tournament. Ah, well, all of the competitors there were quite good. I played singles that day instead of doubles, which was a bit unexpected but fine nonetheless. I won the first match, but lost the second. I don't have the stamina up yet, since I've played nothing but doubles so far this season, which requires much less movement overall.

Post Script -- Today alone I watched four movies. I still have a stack of other ones to go through, too. Gosh, I love the library! :D

So today was our first official tennis match of the season. I played as first doubles (basically the top two-player team), and felt that things went alright. It is only the very beginning of the season, and man, today I had some smokers. My serve was pretty wicked (especially because the other team occasionally made obviously false calls, which just made me angry enough to hit the ball harder... not good for them by any means).
Next match is on Wednesday. (Away, unfortunately.) We also have an away match on Friday, and on Saturday we have a quad, which is when four schools play each other at the same time. I'll probably be mentioning how tennis goes on and off, because really, who wants to hear about tennistennistennis all the time?
Final Score: 3-6 / 6-3 / 4-10 [Instead of a third set, which we would invariably have won, we did a tie breaker. UGH. Hate those.]


Anyway, tomorrow is the first day of school. I'm a little irritated because it isn't even a proper full day, so we're essentially just going in to sit and listen to rules we already know about for approximately five hours. Pointless. Afterwards, the tennis team is going out for 'lunch,' though! <3
I have no idea where we're going, haha. And then we're coming back to practice... :D

On an entirely different note, I keep getting quirky romance ideas. I'm not complaining -- it's refreshing to have to think about what I want to write.
