1. Brokeback Mountain rerun on BRAVO last night. Geez, all the scenes in the end with Enis [still don't get this name, never will] reminiscing with Jack's shirt make me tear up. Anne Hathaway makes for a surprisingly evil trophy wife, too. That phone call was so sad. ;___;
But really, some odd "editing for content" going on there. They'll cut the slash but leave in the het near-sex scenes? It's a gay movie, resign yourselves to it, networkers.
2. The Dark Knight. AHHHH IT WAS GOOOOOOOOOOD. I thought that it would be a total waste of time (a bit like the other superhero ones) but it had Heath Ledger in it and I love all of his movies so I just had to go see. And it had the chef from No Reservations, Aaron Eckhart, and he was spectacular. Such a turnaround in his character and he pulled it off so well.
I... actually didn't really care for Batman too much. Lol, the movie is all about him but I felt that his personality was an undercurrent. Okay, nevermind, I don't know what to say about him, I barely remember his character outside of his memorable scenes. The villains just blew me away.
And the plot! I actually savoured it. I usually don't like comicbook-into-movie sorts of things, but they did an excellent job on this one. Blah, I'll stop now before I get to prattling on and on.
Love,
(overall satisfied with movies)
Post Script -- I... should totally be editing. Or doing something else. -____-;Time to get to it?
