Last night, I was just rummaging around in the drawers of my old wooden desk when I stumbled across some old jewelry. The pieces, while fairly tarnished or tangled up (I have a bad habit of balling up necklaces if I'm in a hurry to put them back, which obviously was of no help in this scenario), weren't actually half-bad.
I was surprised! I actually had forgotten about the majority of them, having received them a great deal of years ago...

So today, amidst the completion of homework and various other tasks, I started sorting them out and restoring them. I've gone through the simpler, homemade, or more inexpensive pieces already -- but tomorrow I shall have to go and pick up a cleaner from Walgreens to remove the tarnishing from the metallic pieces.
Right now I'm going through and restringing and/or modifying some of the homemade beaded ones.

It's not as terribly boring as I thought it might be. Maybe I'm just in an industrious mood.
At least I'll have something nice to wear without having gone out and bought anything! <3

Love,
who knows?

Has anyone ever made a similar discovery?

I found some artwork behind things.

If only my digital camera wasn't lost.

Oh, cool! What sort of art? Prints?

Yuck, that's no fun. Well, hopefully it will turn up eventually in some strange place. (That's what tends to happen to me...)

A few paintings, a self-portrait made from cut up rejected artwork by other people and magazine clippngs, a collage with watercolor skies and drawn-in constellations (I think the project involved harmony and my justification is the harmony of magazine clippings and drawn/painted in stuff), a mixed-media portrait.

Some other things that I knew the locations of but haven't scanned anyway. Several sculptures.

Wow, that's some great variety! Did you wnid up displaying any of them, or were they ultimately stuffered back into the nook from whence they came?

Some of them were on display..

But not online. "displaying" and "stuffered back into the nook frmo whence they came" are one and the same when it comes to online.

I wish I had inspiration. I did write about 2000 words this month. It would have been more, but I've been feeling on and off assy.

Oh, so you'd rather be able to 'put them up' online as opposed to on the walls of your home? :O

You've beaten me! I don't think I've written anything polished at all. But I must admit to having written random, amusing, and occasionally bitter excerpts here and there.

What brought on this whole episode of assyness?

I don't know. Maybe it's stress. Maybe it's having not eaten enough.

I'd like to put them online. Hopefully it will get a better reception than my writing, but that's what I get when the last person I met on Deviantart is from Ukraine.

Could be either. I definitely know the feeling. This morning I was most definitely not a bundle of sunshine.

(I like meeting new, foreign people.)
