*takes a deep breath and gets ready to try her best to explain what she does*
1 -- I cleanse my face and let it dry. This gets rid of extra sheen and other pore-clogging particles that could get trapped between your skin and the makeup. (Or so I think.)
2 -- I pick a very pale, somewhat shimmery shade (usually in the range of beige) and sweep it slightly under the brow and near the tear duct. I blend it with my finger slightly if I think it looks too defined.
3 -- I take a darker shade (light brown) and sweep it across my eyelid, from the corner of my eye out the edge of my lash line. I dust it upwards without applying more. If it's too pale I go back and add a second layer.
4 -- I take a darker colour (deep brown) and smudge it somewhat into my lash line. I do this instead of eyeliner, which I find troublesome to get good results with sometimes.
That's basically what I do. Sorry if it made no sense to you. I'm trying to make you visual aids (don't make fun of them) now. Not saying that it's the only way or the best way to do it, but I find it works well enough. I can try to do it and take pictures later if you remind me.
ALSO. WHAT VIDEO. *comforts*
>___> ? I just use this big thing of makeup my mother got me a long while ago, when I had absolutely no interest in it at all. xD
Wait. What colour are your eyes? The colours you want kind of depend on your eyes too sometimes. Makeup is so complicated. DX
Couldn't you ask her for tips too? :O
OHHHHHHHH, that's what you meant. I thought you meant something totally different. That's not so bad then. *relieved* I thought you meant trace along the upper lash line and then kind of follow your eyeball curve upwards from there. that freaked me out. :P
OH MY. I feel sorry for my roommate. She'd have to put up with all of my late night typing and I'd probably try dragging her off to bowling and ping-pong and karaoke. Then again, she'd probably drag me to her parties. xD ALAS.
Ah. Also. I tried and somewhat miserably managed to get a slight visual (http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/6127/eyeshadowtutorial2.jpg) for you on how I do my eyeshadow. Keep in mind brushes in image editors don't give the smoothest look... I'm too lazy to do one right now but maybe tomorrow if I remember I'll take an actual picture for you.
I know, but it was the only one closed eyes picture I found at a decent angle. :P Wait a second, remember that I said it isn't set in stone...! :O Hmm~ well, while I'm up, I suppose I'll go and try to get a picture. Don't laugh though. I'm sort of groggy and not very good-looking after lounging around all day. DX
