bang bang bang! + meme

I'm leaving for college in less than two weeks (eeeeeek!) but I've signed up for two Big Bangs nonetheless.
bigbang_mixup was too hard to resist. I've only just signed up but I've already finished one mix and begun another.
teenwolfbbang is also going swimmingly, but at a much more sedated pace because I write like a snail crawling through cheesecake. Very slowly indeed. I wish that I could reveal more, but you'll just have to wait until posting time rolls around to find out!
I probably won't update too often (like I do anyway, haha, sorry) until I'm all settled in at my dorm, the one farthest from just about everything on campus. But feel free to pester me with college questions anyway. :D
A long, long time ago
yamamanama sent me a ten days meme of sorts, which I completely blanked on. I'll try to keep with it for my next ten entries, whenever the heck they may be. For reference, the list of days is below.
So, day one.
01) I'm really, really going to miss you.
02) Can I just give you a hug right now?
03) You're welcome for not running you over with my bike, smartass.
04) You're more than a little bit awesome. Wanna be friends?
05) I love you.
06) WHEN WILL YOU FINALLY TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE. SERIOUSLY, SPILL.
07) Friends don't let their tone-deaf friends sing in public. So, sorry, but I'm cutting you off from karaoke for, say, the rest of your life.
08) Can I please, please take concurrent chemistry courses?
09) DAMN YOU PHYSICS TRACK.
10) If you help me move my stuff, I will bake you brownies.
Love,
game-changer straight ahead
Post Script -- I've failed spectacularly at learning to screenprint t-shirts this summer. I've also failed at doing the summer reading (ECONOMICS, OKAY. DNW.), maintaining a sparkly-clean room, and figuring out how to bake french silk mini-tarts. That last one will have to be remedied immediately. Or at least before I go visit my BFF at her dorm.

01: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
02: Nine things about yourself.
03: Eight ways to win your heart.
04: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
05: Six things you wish you’d never done.
06: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever).
07: Four turn offs.
08: Three turn ons.
09: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
10: One confession.
So, day one.

Date: 2011-08-26 04:40 pm (UTC)If you don't mind, I was just going to ask where you're going to college since I don't think I know the answer, hah.

Date: 2011-08-27 01:35 am (UTC)We're going to need a post dedicated entirely to complaining about our many Big Bangs / first semester of college, haha. :D
I don't think I know where you're headed, either! I'll be shivering up at Dartmouth College.

Date: 2011-08-27 01:38 am (UTC)It's okay though, because I'm a good whiner, haha.
Oh, Dartmouth, good luck! I'm heading off to Allegheny College, it's in upstate Pennsylvania. Actually, I'm leaving in about ten hours. Eeee, nervous teeth gritting.

Date: 2011-08-27 01:45 am (UTC)Me too, haha. Feedback is my fuel of choice.
Thanks, you too! (Pennsylvania is so pretty, eeee!) Do you have any specific major(s) planned out yet?
TEN HOURS. ACK. Waiting is the worst! Are you all packed?

Date: 2011-08-27 01:57 am (UTC)Ah, thank you! (Sometimes I want to move far away from here, since I live in PA and was planning on leaving the state, but then I get all nostalgic and "aw, I love this place though.") I was thinking today, and since I don't have an official major yet, that I'll just stick with the Pre-Med major and a minor/double major in English. That's what my first semester schedule is setting me up for, and I know that I enjoy biology and English, I just have no idea what career I want.
I am all packed! Just finished up a few hours ago, and I'm afraid I won't sleep at all tonight. D;

Date: 2011-08-27 02:09 am (UTC)Oh, yes, have you come to a decision about including the eating disorder?
I feel you -- it seems like all of my friends stayed in-state but I guess i just felt the urge to travel out, and I've always liked the East Coast. I'll be driving through on the way to college in a week or so! :)
GO ENGLISH. It seems like Pre-Med is a pretty popular major this year, but it's definitely a possibility since you love bio. (I never got over the dissection bit personally, lol.) I have the same career dilemma though. Everyone sees English + Science and goes oh, research? But NO. I don't like writing science papers at all, haha.
You are soooo far ahead of me. I can just see myself on the morning of, flying all over the place while sleep dazed because I've forgotten such-and-such. :P
If you're having trouble sleeping, watch the cooking channel (or, better yet, quilting or one of those shopping channels). You'll be out like a light!

Date: 2011-08-27 02:17 am (UTC)I've decided to go ahead with it, and to be honest, I think this story is like my baby now or something, so I definitely want to write it, no matter how much time and attention it needs. So, I've thought that if need be, I can drop the Teen Wolf Big Bang since that plot is the most involved and intricate, but it'll be written eventually. Hopefully.
That seems like a long drive, how many hours is it?
ENGLISH. I wanted to just major in that, but then I realized...horrible economy coupled with English major was just asking for bankruptcy. (I'm still a bit iffy with dissection if only because of the smell of the preservatives that are used, hah.) Yeah, I definitely get that, but for me, technical writing and research are on my list of potential careers if I decide that med school is just TOO MUCH.
Haha, that's simply because I'm pretty much a ticking time-bomb of worry and my mother likes everything neat and in order with lists and subcategories. :D
Ah, but the cooking channel would make me interested, so I'll definitely be picking the shopping or quilting channels instead.

Date: 2011-08-27 02:31 am (UTC)Excellent -- I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all plays out! I wish you the best of luk with meeting all the deadlines, but I definitely sympathize with having favourite must-do-justice fics, too.
It'll probably take two days to get there although it theoretically could squeeze into a day. I still want to have energy for lugging things up stairs, though! :P
ME TOO. This is the whole reason I'm doubling. I'll need a stable job that will actually make money so that I'll be able to sit around typing and not have to live on Spaghetti-O's or something. (That is the same exact reason I don't like it! Most people assume that it's something to do with the cutting itself, but my nose is just super sensitive to a lot of chemical smells.) It's awesome that you have a back-up plan. Right now mine consists of flailing.
I love lists too but I love procrastination even more, so... D:
I have that same problem! Maybe if you're lucky there'll be an infomercial running the same clips over and over again...

Date: 2011-08-27 02:51 am (UTC)Thank you! I'm hoping I can get this out for the Big Bang, but if not, it'll be okay because I'd more upset if one of my other stories missed the deadlines, simply because I want to do this one proper justice and do it well.
Lol, naturally! You've got to make sure that you don't burn out on the trip. Do you have a dorm room on a particularly high floor? Mine's on the fourth floor and I am not anticipating that move in time.
Totally agree! I just want to write mostly, but I figure that I need to be able to, you know, survive, and if writing won't support me, it should be the next best thing for my career. (YES! I know exactly how you feel! My nose is really sensitive to chemical smells which makes dissections unpleasant but not unbearable.) Haha, you mean a back-up plan that I've only recently solidified? Which is unusual given that I am practically making a career out of worrying and making fifty back-up plans.
Oh yes, infomercials are the way to go for sleepless nights. Never know when you'll need a Magic Bullet or a new workout machine. :P

Date: 2011-08-27 03:07 am (UTC)No, I'm only on the second floor, I just whine a lot, haha! I'll have a lot of stuff to move in because I won't be able to come back until winter break because flights were too expensive over Thanksgiving. Seriously, someone should invent teleportation devices to help us all out with moving, though.
(Ugh, yes. Sadly, I was the one to do all the up-close-and-personal dissecting too, since my lab partner was completely freaked out by the frog, which was the most normal-looking thing available for dissection.) Well, fifty back-up plans means that you're at least well-prepared! :P
MAGIC BULLET. Haha, my friend got one for college. Sham-Wow is my favourite just because of the name. But I think that the cosmetic ones are the most boring.
no subject
Date: 2011-08-27 03:24 am (UTC)Still...stairs. They are not your friend when you're moving in. Ugh, and you're not able to come home until winter break. D; Teleportation would be really handy right about now. And just always in general for fun.
(Luckily, I only had to dissect a crayfish on my own. My partner absolutely had a blast with the frog and fetal pig. But yeah, out of all of them, I would pick the frog again, for sure.) Always prepared! I swear, it's a shame I dropped out of Girl Scouts when I was younger.
Yes! I was going to mention a Sham-Wow, but couldn't fully remember the name and was too lazy to Google. :P The cosmetic ones are definitely the most boring, but I think the home improvement tool ones are awful as well.

Date: 2011-08-27 03:32 am (UTC)Luckily I have family semi-nearby in the Boston area, so I'll be able to pop down there for some turkey. I would totally abuse teleportation powers, so it's probably good that it doesn't exist yet.
FOUND MY JOB.(My bio teacher was... very thorough. She found a (kind of smushed) pigeon, frog, pregnant rat (ew), shark, snake, and something else I can't remember for us to dissect. Blech.) you would have made the perfect role model, hehee.
I am quite amused by the jewelry ones where the piece takes up a ridiculous amount of space and the poor announcers are forced to wear like ten of those ginormous things.

Date: 2011-09-06 02:11 am (UTC)You know the weird thing about that: I don't know who I wanted to say each thing to. I don't think I ever knew. Except for B. That was to some guy calling himself Danimal.
